The Ultimate Photo Packing List
The more thought you put into the little details ahead of time, the more you’ll actually get to enjoy your wedding day. One of the easiest ways to do that? A simple photo packing list.
It might not sound exciting, but it makes a huge difference.
Instead of your photographer asking where things are or tracking down items while you’re getting ready, everything is already in one place. It keeps the morning calm, organized, and way more enjoyable for everyone involved.
So what is a photo packing list?
It’s basically a collection of all the items your photographer will want to capture. These are the detail shots that help tell the full story of your day, and having them ready to go saves time and stress.
You can always go over this with your photographer, but here are a few things you’ll almost definitely want to include:
Your invitation suite
If you had physical invitations made, bring a full set with you. This usually includes the main invite, envelope, and the RSVP card. Basically anything that ties into your wedding paper details. It’s one of the first things your photographer will photograph.
Your rings
This one seems obvious, but it’s still worth mentioning. Both your engagement ring and wedding bands should be easy to find. If you have a ring box, bring that along too—it photographs beautifully and keeps everything together.
Accessories
Think through everything you’ll be wearing or using: shoes, jewelry, watches, cufflinks, tie clips, perfume. Laying it all out ahead of time not only helps with photos, but also keeps you from scrambling last minute.
Your dress (and/or attire)
Your dress is a big part of the story, and your photographer will want time to photograph it properly. Having it steamed, ready, and on a nice hanger makes a difference more than you’d think.
Florals
Bouquets and other personal flowers are often included in detail shots. Make sure your photographer knows when they’ll arrive and where they’ll be so they don’t get missed.
Something old, new, borrowed, blue
If you’re including these traditions, gather those items ahead of time so they’re easy to photograph and not forgotten in the rush of the day.
Sentimental items
This could be anything meaningful, from heirlooms, a handwritten note, a special gift, or something you’re incorporating into your outfit. If it matters to you, it’s worth documenting.
At the end of the day, this list doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s just about being intentional and making sure the details you’ve chosen actually get captured.
A little preparation here goes a long way. It keeps your morning smooth, gives your photographer what they need, and lets you stay focused on what really matters.
